''Maliarpha separatella'', the African white stemborer, is a species of moth of the family Pyralidae. It is found in Cameroon, La Réunion, Madagascar and South Africa. The wingspan is about 30 mm. Adults have a dull, yellow-brown body. The forewings have red scales along the costal and inner margins and dark brown and red scales appearing as defined lines along the wing veins to the termen. The hindwings are uniformly creamy white with some darker scale near the apex.〔(Padil )〕 The larvae feed on various grasses, including ''Zea mays''. ==References==
